On August 21, 1981, 31-year-old Daryle Cole, an African American male, and his 21-year-old girlfriend, Stacey Balonek, a Caucasian female, were tragically murdered in Toledo, Ohio. The couple had recently returned from a trip to Daytona Beach, Florida, and were parked near Stacey's residence on Doyle Street when they were approached by Anthony Cook. Cook forced them at gunpoint into the trunk of Daryle's 1979 Pontiac Grand Prix and drove them to a secluded area beneath the Central Avenue overpas ...
