On August 21, 1981, 31-year-old Daryle Cole, an African American male, and his 21-year-old girlfriend, Stacey Balonek, a Caucasian female, were tragically murdered in Toledo, Ohio. The couple had recently returned from a trip to Daytona Beach, Florida, and were parked near Stacey's residence on Doyle Street when they were approached by Anthony Cook.
