In a heartbreaking turn of events in Louisville, Kentucky, a young life was tragically cut short. Five-year-old Jaquanda Smith, an African American girl, died on March 26, 2000. On that day, she was discovered unconscious inside her family's apartment, alongside her younger siblings, 17-month-old Dashay Jones and 2-year-old Danesha Jones.
