On January 1, 2012, 26-year-old Sarah Roberts was shot and killed in Fresno, California, shortly after attending a New Year's Eve party. Roberts, a young mother of two, was believed to be an unintended victim caught in the crossfire of a nearby altercation. The shooting took place just after midnight, and no arrests have been made since. The lack of witnesses willing to come forward has complicated the investigation.
