On December 9, 1993, Jimmy West, a Black male, was tragically killed outside a liquor lounge in Jacksonville, Florida. The incident occurred as Jimmy West and Tamecka Smith, a Black female, were entering a car in the establishment's parking lot. Unbeknownst to West, his half-brother, Theodore Wright, had previously sold the vehicle to him.
