Marlon Lane, 18, a Black/African American male from Jacksonville, was shot on the evening of September 10, 2025, at an apartment complex on Labelle Street on the city's Westside. Patrol officers found Marlon Lane, 18, with multiple gunshot wounds; he was rushed by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue to a hospital, where he died of his injuries. The scene was cordoned off as homicide detectives processed evidence and began canvassing for witnesses in the surrounding Avondale/Westside area.
