On July 7, 2008, Montez H. "Birdie" Rodriquez, an 18-year-old from Kansas City, Missouri, was tragically killed. He was a young man with a love for basketball and enjoyed playing video games. Montez was attending Hickman Mills High School and was described as having a close connection with his family, including his young son, whom he left behind.
