Hillen Armour Munson, a 46-year-old white male, met a tragic end on September 15, 1909, in Sandy Point, Texas. Munson, who served as a Special Deputy Sheriff for Brazoria County, was part of a posse attempting to apprehend two escapees from the Brazoria County Jail.
