Randy Wayne Steele, a 20-year-old male from El Paso, Texas, tragically lost his life on February 3, 1980. He was one of five people killed in a mass shooting at the Starburst Lounge in northeast El Paso. The incident began when Barry Chvarak, a 21-year-old man, got into an argument at the bar over who was the best marksman. Chvarak left the bar, retrieved a semi-automatic. 22 caliber rifle from his truck, and returned to the lounge to start shooting.
