Detention Guard Adrian Salazar Aguilar, a 21-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically shot and killed on June 30, 1985, in San Antonio, Texas. Salazar was returning to the Bexar County Detention Center after completing a shift guarding a prisoner at University Hospital. He was shot through the passenger side window of his patrol car while driving back to the detention center. The assailant or assailants responsible for his death were never identified, and the case remains unsolved to this day.
