Gary Lee Williams, a 37-year-old male officer of the San Antonio Police Department, tragically lost his life on March 27, 1989. He was shot and killed while responding to a suspicious vehicle call on NE Loop 410 at around 3 am. Patrolman Williams was dispatched to check on an abandoned vehicle parked behind a closed restaurant when a car pulled into the road.
