carbine rifle, striking him multiple times. Despite being wounded, Officer Ginn managed to crawl to a nearby tree for cover. The suspect then disarmed him and shot him point-blank in the head with his own service weapon. The suspect subsequently held a woman hostage for nearly 20 hours before taking his own life.
Officer Ginn had served with the Pasadena Police Department for eight years and was survived by his wife, two children, and parents. His death was a significant loss to the community and the police department, and he is remembered for his dedication and service.
