Doris Elizabeth McGown Angleton, a 46-year-old American socialite, was found dead in her River Oaks, Houston home on April 16, 1997. She was born on April 11, 1951, and was known for her friendly demeanor and love for dancing. Doris was married to Robert Angleton, a successful bookmaker, and they had twins together. However, their marriage was strained, and Doris had initiated divorce proceedings just before her death.
