Cassandra Fawn "Cassie" Griffin, a 14-year-old girl from Fort Worth, Texas, tragically lost her life on September 15, 1999. Cassie was attending a prayer rally at Wedgwood Baptist Church when a mass shooting occurred. The perpetrator, Larry Gene Ashbrook, entered the church during the event and opened fire, killing seven people, including Cassie, and injuring seven others before taking his own life.
