Sylvia Caballero, a 42-year-old Hispanic woman, tragically lost her life on August 26, 2005, in Houston, Texas. She was fatally shot by her husband, Jesse "Sam" Caballero, a former Houston Community College police officer, as she followed him out of their home. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, with their two sons asleep inside the house.
