On June 14, 2014, Brandon McClain, a 35-year-old African American male from Rowlett, Texas, tragically died in what was determined to be a murder-suicide. McClain, a Navy veteran and special operations recruiter, was found dead in his home alongside his 30-year-old girlfriend, Amanda Todhunter. The couple had recently broken up, and Todhunter had moved out of the home just two weeks prior to the incident.
According to police reports, Todhunter used a Glock .45 to shoot McClain in the head
