On January 19, 2024, 51-year-old Frank Kwasnica, a white male, was found unresponsive in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 2200 block of Blue Water Drive in Arlington, Texas. He had suffered severe blunt force trauma to the head and was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Witnesses reported that two vehicles approached Kwasnica, after which three individuals exited, yelled at him, chased him, and assaulted him with large objects.
The assailants then fled the scene in the vehicles.
Following an extensive investigation, Arlington Police identified and arrested three suspects in connection with the murder. On January 31, 2024, members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force apprehended 22-year-old Brayan Amador Vasquez, 29-year-old Jared Amador Vasquez, and 20-year-old Norlan Gomez-Torres in Arlington without incident. Each was charged with one count of capital murder and booked into the Arlington City Jail.
The motive behind the brutal attack on the 51-year-old white male remains unclear. Investigators discovered Kwasnica's blue Ford Mustang abandoned approximately four miles from the crime scene, believing the suspects used it to flee. Items belonging to Gomez-Torres were found inside the vehicle, aiding in the identification of the suspects. Despite the arrests, authorities have not determined why the suspects targeted Kwasnica, and the investigation is ongoing.
