Anthony Strather Jr., a 17-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on October 17, 2019, in Arlington, Texas. Strather, a senior at Bowie High School and a starting defensive end on the football team, was attempting to break up a fight when he was shot. He was well-liked and had aspirations of playing college football and eventually becoming a coach.
