Jason Widner, a 29-year-old male from San Antonio, TX, tragically died on September 21, 2014, from a gunshot wound to the stomach. The incident occurred at an apartment complex on the 1200 block of Patricia Drive. Widner was allegedly confronting Codey Southerland, 25, about a stolen handgun when Southerland ran into his apartment and Widner followed him. Southerland grabbed a gun, and as Widner chased him down a stairwell, Southerland turned and shot him.
