On November 9, 2014, Francisco Vaquier, a 41-year-old Hispanic male, was found dead in his apartment at the Churchill Crossing Apartments in Mesquite, Texas. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. The Mesquite Police Department responded to a call about a deceased person at the apartment complex and discovered Vaquier's body on the floor.
