Antwan Jones, a 30-year-old African American man from San Antonio, Texas, was tragically shot and killed on November 15, 2014. He was at his aunt's house with his family when two armed men, Tyree Byrd and Kerry Gittens, broke into the home and attempted to rob them. During the robbery, Antwan was shot and killed.

Following Antwan's death, Kerry Gittens was charged with murder. He initially posted bail and was out on bond but failed to return to court during his trial. As a result, Gittens ...
