Rhydan Bolton, a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 19, 2015, in Beaumont, Texas. He was a sophomore at Lamar University, studying nursing, and was known for his involvement in the "Man Up" organization, where he served as the fundraising chairman. Bolton was fatally shot outside the Market Ace convenience store, located a few blocks from the Lamar University campus.
