the incident. Sharifi was charged with theft of a firearm, making a firearm accessible to a child, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. According to police, Sharifi had stolen the gun and given it to Raymond. When he discovered Raymond's body, Sharifi initially hid the weapon from investigators. The investigation concluded with Sharifi's arrest, and no further charges or arrests were expected.
Raymond's family expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of support they received and emphasized Raymond's love, strong values, and integrity. They hoped that his death would lead to meaningful conversations and real change regarding how students are treated in schools and communities. An anti-bullying rally was held outside McKinney Boyd High School to address concerns about bullying and to promote a safer environment for students.
Raymond's legacy is one of kindness, love, empathy, and strength, and his family continues to honor his memory by advocating for positive change in the community.
