Laura Lynn Easter Patschke, a 47-year-old woman of Caucasian ethnicity from Crawford, Texas, tragically lost her life on July 6, 2015. She was killed by her ex-boyfriend, James Ray Brossett, who broke into her home and shot her with a shotgun. Brossett also attempted to kill Patschke's teenage son, who was trying to protect his mother, by shooting him in the arm.
