Kristin Morales, a 27-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on September 17, 2022, in Elgin, Texas. She was fatally shot by her husband, Rito Paul Morales, a retired Texas Department of Public Safety trooper, during a domestic disturbance call at their shared home on Bexar Forest Cove. The incident also resulted in the death of Randi Mitchell, who was living with the couple. Following the shootings, Rito Paul Morales was shot and killed by a Travis County Sheriff’s Deputy at the scene.
