On March 16, 2016, Eric Hernandez, a 33-year-old male from San Antonio, Texas, was fatally shot by San Antonio Police Department SWAT officers following a tense standoff. The incident began around 2 a.m. when Hernandez reportedly fired shots at a neighbor's house, prompting law enforcement to respond to the scene.
