On March 27, 2016, Felix Antonio Nieves, a 17-year-old Hispanic male from New Braunfels, Texas, was shot and killed inside his home. The incident occurred during a domestic disturbance that began with an argument between Nieves and his 43-year-old mother, Jennifer Coryell. During the altercation, Nieves took a stun gun from his mother and used it on her several times.
