On July 17, 2016, Edward Long, a 49-year-old African American man, was fatally shot in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred during a drive-by shooting that left one person dead and three others wounded. Authorities indicated that the attack was gang-related, and Edward Long, age 49, was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire.
