Mele'Kia Rae Russ Montgomery, a 25-year-old woman from Longview, Texas, tragically lost her life on August 26, 2016. She was one of two victims in a double homicide that occurred in the 400 block of Johnson Street in south Longview. The other victim was Alexis Carol Johnson, a 23-year-old woman. The incident shook the community and led to a thorough investigation by the Longview Police Department.
