On October 11, 2016, Sofya Ali, a 33-year-old woman of Ethiopian ethnicity, tragically lost her life in a devastating incident in Houston, TX. The incident occurred in the 8200 block of Aliso Canyon Lane in Fort Bend County. Sofya Ali was fatally shot by her husband, Ali Edris, who then turned the gun on himself. Their son, Edris Edris, 24, also died at the scene. Ali Edris, 58, was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
