Edmond Demond Ford, a 30-year-old African American man, was tragically murdered on November 12, 2016, in Houston, Texas. Ford was at his apartment in the Villa De Cancun complex on Woodfair Drive when he heard a knock at his door. Upon answering, he was shot and killed point-blank by two masked gunmen. His girlfriend, who was present in the apartment at the time, managed to escape through a bedroom window but was confronted by the assailants in the courtyard before they fled the scene.
