Rasheed Troy Edwards, a 29-year-old African American male from Port Arthur, Texas, tragically lost his life on December 29, 2016. He was fatally shot outside the Baymont Inn & Suites on Texas 73. The Port Arthur Police Department received a call about possible shots fired around 9 p.m. that evening. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Edwards deceased from a gunshot wound.
