On February 9, 2017, McKenzie Stovall, an 8-year-old girl from Corsicana, Texas, tragically lost her life in a murder-suicide incident. The incident occurred at the family's home when 46-year-old Jefferson Stovall fatally shot his wife, 43-year-old Penny Stovall, and their daughter, McKenzie, before turning the gun on himself. The bodies were discovered by officers who responded to a request from a relative who had been unable to reach the Stovall family.
