O'Cyrus Braux, a 14-year-old African American boy from Houston, Texas, tragically died on July 17, 2017, after being shot during his 14th birthday party. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning at his home on Goodson Drive. O'Cyrus was outside with several friends when a stray bullet struck him in the stomach. Despite his mother's immediate call to 911 and his attempts to reassure her, he succumbed to his injuries at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital.
