Demarcus Harrison, a 20-year-old male of Black ethnicity, tragically lost his life on May 8, 2014, in Houston, TX. Harrison was involved in a fight with several other males, including Louis Dante Anthony IV, an 18-year-old male. During the altercation, Anthony pulled out a gun and fired several shots, striking Harrison and another man, Carldric Parker, 23, who survived with non-life-threatening
injuries.
Anthony fled the scene but turned himself in to the police the following day, admitting his role in the shooting. He was subsequently charged with murder in the 176th State District Court. Further investigation revealed that Anthony's father was also involved in the incident, as he allegedly drove a car into a crowd of people outside the apartment complex, though no injuries resulted from this act.
