On January 24, 2018, 15-year-old Nelson Cruz was fatally shot in the Gulfton area of Houston, Texas. The tragic incident occurred at the Victoria Villa Apartments in the 5700 block of Glenmont Drive. Nelson was found dead in the complex parking lot, and police responded to the scene around 5:31 p.m. Two males were seen running from the scene, but the motive for the shooting remains unknown.
