Christopher Polk, a 25-year-old African American male, was tragically gunned down on February 24, 2018, in Lakehills, Texas. Polk, a local rapper known by his stage name "Ape Life," was killed in an ambush-style shooting while driving on Loop 410 near Bandera Road. He had just left a nightclub and was driving eastbound on Loop 410 when a silver SUV and a black sedan pulled alongside his car and opened fire. Polk was struck multiple times and died at the scene.
