Wilfredo Cabello, a 37-year-old man originally from Piedras Negras, was found dead inside a burned-out truck in Bandera County, Texas, on November 16, 2019. Cabello, who worked as a painter, was last seen alive on November 15, 2019, at a triplex on West French Place north of downtown San Antonio. His body was discovered the next day along a rural road in Lakehills, Texas. The Bandera County Sheriff's Office confirmed his identity after an autopsy was performed.
Cabello's death is being investigated as a murder. According to reports, his wife Carla saw his truck and blood inside the house when she went to check on him after he didn't answer her calls. Investigators found evidence of foul play at the scene but no sign of Cabello. Surveillance footage from a camera across the street captured a white truck backing up and three people loading something heavy into it the night before his body was found.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with Cabello's death. His wife has expressed hope that the police will find her husband's killer so that they won't hurt someone else. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are continuing to search for suspects and gather evidence to solve the case.
