On a cold night in mid-January 2013, a violent incident unfolded in the streets of south St. Louis, Missouri, claiming the life of a young man. Around midnight, law enforcement officers responded to a distress call reporting a shooting in the 4000 block of South Grand Boulevard. Upon arrival, police discovered 24-year-old Allante Jamal Edmondson, a male, lying in the middle of the street. He was suffering from a severe gunshot wound to the stomach.
