Odia Patterson, aged 52, was found dead on January 26, 2013, in St. Louis, Missouri. The incident took place in the Walnut Park West neighborhood, an area that has been plagued by high rates of violence. Patterson was shot and killed in the late hours of the night. Emergency services responded to reports of gunfire, and upon their arrival, they discovered Patterson with fatal gunshot wounds. The scene provided few immediate leads for investigators.
