Gage Don Michael Nolen, a 16-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity from Borger, Texas, tragically died on June 5, 2018. He was an active and beloved member of his community, known for his talents in football and track and field at Borger High School. Gage was also passionate about outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, dirt biking, and four-wheeling. His untimely death was the result of an accidental shooting while he was at a park with a friend.
A single gunshot struck both Gage and his friend, but unfortunately, only Gage succumbed to his injuries.
The incident occurred at Golden Plains Community Hospital, where Gage was pronounced dead. The circumstances surrounding the shooting were determined to be accidental, and there were no arrests or suspects involved in the case. The community mourned the loss of a young life full of potential and promise. Gage's funeral was held at Grace Church, and he was laid to rest at Westlawn Memorial Park in Borger.
