Edward Magana, a 57-year-old Hispanic man from Houston, Texas, was tragically killed on July 16, 2018, while working at the Mattress One store on North Freeway. He was shot in the head by Jose Gilberto Rodriguez, a parolee who was on a violent rampage at the time. Rodriguez allegedly killed three people, including Magana, and stole Magana's grey Nissan Sentra.
