Death by Force

On August 17, 2018, Juan Ricardo Muñoz, a 19-year-old Hispanic male from Laredo, Texas, was fatally shot in the Chacon neighborhood. Muñoz was found in a small apartment unit on North Stone Avenue with a single gunshot wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident marked the city's sixth recorded homicide of the year.
