Yajaira Garcia, a 17-year-old Hispanic female from Wichita Falls, Texas, tragically lost her life on November 3, 2018. She was a senior at Wichita Falls High School and was known for her vibrant personality and bright future. On that fateful day, Yajaira was found with a gunshot wound on Hammon Road. When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered Joshua Cook, a 21-year-old male, kneeling over her body with a gun in his hand. Cook immediately confessed to the shooting, leading to his arrest.
