On January 1, 2019, Marcus Carprew, a 39-year-old man from Waco, Texas, was tragically shot and killed outside the House of Blues nightclub. According to police reports, Carprew was involved in an argument inside the club, which escalated and moved to the parking lot where he was shot multiple times. The incident occurred just after 2 a.m., and officers found Carprew suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
