Courtland Trowell-Wilmore, a 17-year-old male from Royse City, Texas, was fatally shot on February 3, 2019, alongside his friend Nick Young. The incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. on Overstreet Lane in their neighborhood. Trowell-Wilmore was a junior at Royse City High School and was well-liked by his peers. The community was deeply affected by his death, and a vigil was held to honor him and Young.
