Known for her generosity, April often extended help to those in need. After Hurricane Harvey severely damaged her home, she still gave some of her furniture to others for comfort. She was actively involved with Arch Angels of Texas, a homeless advocacy group in Alvin, Texas.
In the aftermath of the tragedy, no arrests were made, as the perpetrator, Julio Villareal, died by suicide at the scene. April is survived by her four children: Jonathan, Serene, Ky, and Keagon. Her passing was deeply mourned by friends, family, and the community, who remembered her as a selfless individual always willing to help others.
