Nereida Nelly Tagle, a 44-year-old woman of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost her life on May 23, 2019, in San Antonio, Texas. According to reports, she was involved in a physical altercation with her sister-in-law, which escalated when she refused to leave the property. The dispute turned deadly when her sister-in-law retrieved a firearm and shot her in the doorway of the home.
Nereida was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident occurred in the 1000 block of Grand River, and it was reported that there were three children present in the home at the time of the shooting. The shooter, a 39-year-old woman, was identified as the sister-in-law who lived in the home. San Antonio Police Chief William McManus mentioned that this was not the first time the police had been called to the residence for disturbances.
Following the tragic event, the Tagle and Teneyuca families set up a GoFundMe fundraiser to help cover funeral arrangements and legal costs. The fundraiser highlighted that Nereida left behind her husband, Jaime Teneyuca, and four children. The family expressed their grief and requested prayers during this difficult time.
