Leroy Hawkins III, a 17-year-old recent graduate of DeSoto High School, was tragically shot and killed on June 4, 2019, in downtown Dallas, Texas. The incident occurred just after midnight in the 400 block of North Akard Street near Federal Street. Hawkins was found in the passenger seat of a red 2007 Pontiac with multiple gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
