On January 28, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Dallas police officers responded to a shooting incident in the 3200 block of Maryland Avenue in southern Dallas. Upon arrival, they discovered 36-year-old David Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services were called to the scene, but despite their efforts, Johnson was pronounced dead.
