On the morning of June 20, 2019, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Pleasanton Police Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Sanchez Street in response
to an Assist EMS call. Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless body of Andrew Marcus Perez inside a residence. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. The Pleasanton Police Department, along with the Texas Rangers, immediately began investigating the scene as a homicide.
The investigation into Andrew's death revealed that he was a manager at the local Whataburger in Pleasanton.
